William Deutz and Peter Geldermann founded their own business "Deutz & Geldermann" in 1838.
In 1988, the company split into "Champagne Deutz" and "Badische Geldermann Privat-Sektkellerei".
When Louis Roederer took over Champagne Deutz in 1993, the phenomenal rise began.
About 30 hectares of vineyards, 10 of them in Les Menil-sur-Oger, Pinot Noir and of course Pinot Meunier as well as Chardonnay are among the grape varieties of Champagne Deutz.
