Glenfiddich has been using the uniquely fresh Highland Springs water since 1887, which gives it its distinctive fresh and fruity flavour and is a consistent insistence of founder William Glenn. Meticulously matured for at least 12 years in premium American and European oak barrels, the maturation and fusion in the barrels give the whisky a sweet, subtle oak flavor.
